My friend Q is over (she does not want to be identified).
But I can say this of her. She is smart and tech-savvy. Extremely capable. She worked for many many years in television as a graphic designer.
I say all this only to make the point that Q is an intelligent, aware, NY-born person.
She's in my bedroom where I'm showing her something. She says something like, "You always have the most-up-to-date tech toys."
Then she looks at my desk and points to something and asks, "What is this?"
I follow her finger.
I think she's joking. She's not.
"Is this something to raise and lower your bed?" she asks.
Here is where she's pointing.
Funny! I do have a remote on my nightstand to raise and lower my bed and it kind of looks like your phone!
ReplyDelete(Linda) LOL. I haven’t had one of those contraptions in my apartment for years.
ReplyDeleteA landline !! I have one of those too
ReplyDeleteIn 1987 I was the only living boy in St Pete to have a rotary phone in use. I have been back home 9 times in 7 years so I got rid of the Frontier wall phone 3 years ago.It cost 62.00 amonth.Just a little too much for a phone I didn't use. We still have a wall phone like yours at my Mom's home though
ReplyDeleteWon't every one with only cell phones be left in the dust when an emergency happens and Wifi /
ReplyDeletebluetooth etc all go down...ok maybe not forever but I think people are nuts not to have an emergency standby land line!
lolll! i haven’t had a landline in 10+ years, though i know it’s a good idea to have one. (lisa v-b)
