I was pretty much an all-A
student. Not because I was so smart, but
because I was a good studier. I have
lost that skill.
I have two big tests I need to take before I
can get a real estate license: one is
the school exam, and one is the state exam. Fortunately, the studying is the same for
both.
In preparation for these exams,
I make a schedule of how many chapters I need to review each day. I vary the number of chapters based on
whatever else I have planned. I am
trying to minimize my activities so I can study. But of course other, more interesting
temptations, get in the way.
My self-imposed schedule
required that I review many more chapters this week that I actually do. In fact, through yesterday, I had studied
one and half chapters of twenty.
Pitiful.
But today I wake up
determined. I have nothing planned. It is freezing outside. I hunker down, and actually review four and a
half chapters by six p.m. This is a
major accomplishment.
Now I can enjoy mindless TV
tonight. I hope this is the beginning of
a trend. That would be nice.
