For the second night of
Passover, we all meet again at Jill’s.
It’s another great night of family and food. Tonight, though, is especially informative for
us singles in the group.
Amanda tells us about a
dating app called Hinge. If you are
single, and want to date, you really should download it (it’s free). Basically, here’s how it works:
You enter some very basic criteria of what you are
looking for.
Once a day you receive a “batch” of possible
matches.
All of the matches are connected through friends’ of
friends on your Facebook page.
You check either yes or no next to each person (I
only get 6 daily potentials because I only have 5 friends who are on Hinge; the
30-year-old at the Seder has100 friends on Hinge and gets 20 potentials per day).
Next, your profile appears on the page of the person
you chose, but that person doesn't know you’ve chosen them, so there is no embarrassment.
But if that person chooses you, then you can start chatting.
I choose three of my six; one
went to Harvard Business School, looks successful, is very cute, and is
connected to three people I know.
Now I just have to hope he
chooses me when my profile appears in one of his daily batches.
Suddenly I'm back in fifth grade waiting to see if Chickie's going to call.
I like this one! I'll have to pass it on to my swinging single friends!
