friendly city strangers

Most people don’t think of New York as a friendly place, but it is.  Very.

Today I decide to take pictures in Central Park.  I stop along the way and grab a shot of the police who guard our mayor’s house.

Spring has sprung in some places but not in others.  There are beautiful flowers.

There are bare trees.

 There are blossoming trees.

And there is the majesty of the park itself.

But soon I’m bored.  People are far more interesting to me than treea or flowers are.  So I randomly walk up to people and say, “Hi, can I take your picture?”   To some I even add, “I write a blog and I have nothing to write about today, so I thought I'd take some photos,” and then I hand them my little moo card with my website on it.  Almost everyone says yes.  

New York is filled with interesting people.  These are just a few of them.
