lazy, hazy blah blah blah

It's summer. Life is slow. Everything is moving at a more relaxed pace.

Including this blog. There just hasn't been much to write about.

Nothing I''ve done, seen or heard has felt post-worthy.

Here's a quick summary of what I haven't been writing about:

  • Saw the Comme des Garcons exhibit at The Met. Robin and I both found it interesting, though I'm sure I didn't appreciate it as much I'd like to pretend I did.

  • Went to a screening of Wind River which I enjoyed though my friend hated it.

  • Missed a screening of another film, just because I felt like staying in. Later heard the film was great — the reception better. Hillary and Bill were there, mingling among the guests. I shouldn't say no so often.

  • Attended a thoroughly enjoyable play (actually three short one-acts) called Summer Shorts-Series B at 59E59 with Susan. Came home and realized I'd lost my keys (on my favorite key ring) at the theater. They were never turned in.

  • Sold more than I'd expect for early August. But it feels like everyday the number of  sales associates increases while the number of support staff decreases. In other words, associates are expected to do more and more while the pie keeps getting divided into smaller slices. Not good for morale. And not good for individual sales.

  • Lost one of my favorite tops — it just disappeared from my house. I've looked through every drawer, every closet, and anywhere else I could possibly think of. It's just gone. How does that happen?

  • Died without warning: my very reliable HP LaserJet Printer, bought in 2005. Its death was quick and unexpected.  I'm thinking of replacing it with the HP LaserJet Pro M402dw wireless monochrome printer.  Just need to mourn a little first.

Leave for the Cape again next week. Sure hope I'll find more interesting stories to tell from there.
