Rather than drag my big book
and light (but still heavy) chair to Central Park, I discover a new place. Carl Schurz Park is much closer; there is a
grassy area with trees (or not, if tanning is preferred); and it’s designated for passive activity (where reading would certainly qualify). Perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Although reading The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult, a book about Nazi atrocities, is not the most peaceful way to spend a beautiful afternoon.
