I am proud
of myself. Basically for the past month, I have bought nothing except
food. For me, this is big. Not one piece of clothing. No
makeup. No furniture. Nada. But I have fallen in love with
this little company called moo.com. They make business cards.
What do I
love about moo? Let me count the ways.
First,
they have style and personality.
I love
the name. Easy to remember. Makes me smile. Playful.
And has nothing to do with the product (I like that…even tried it myself when I
created a website called Babadog Productions for my photography).
The
quality of their paper is impressive. That’s important to me. I use 28- pound
paper stock in bright white for printing at home; I don’t care if no one else
sees it; I do. (To make myself feel less wasteful, I print on both
sides).
The
designs are excellent. Not the typically boring stuff you’ll find at
Staples or Kinko’s.
Pricing
is affordable.
Customer
Service is fabulous. The phone gets answered quickly. The people who answer the phones are helpful and nice. And smart. I
spelled M’s street incorrectly on cards I made for her. No problem. They refunded me in
full.
User-friendly
site. I have been playing with different designs for days now. There are so many great options it is hard to pick one.
I wrote to
the company asking for a job. I asked a rep how to address it. She said, "Just write, Attention Richard in the subject line. Richard
is our CEO who is in the UK. We will forward your email to Richard." Richard sounds approachable; I like that too. I just hope he will reciprocate my love.
