a day with my sisters

This is my third day on the Cape and except for a few fleeting rays of sunshine, the weather has been pretty dismal.

My dad is making progress, but slowly.  Today my two sisters visit and it is clear that my dad is thrilled to have all his girls around him.

Everyone at the rehab center likes my dad.  The nurses and aids all joke with him, but not in a way that feels condescending.

In deference to my mom, and the fact that no one has had lunch, we go to dinner at 5:30.   The Flying Bridge is a popular tourist place, but it is on the water and the food is usually good.  My WW diet is on hold, as we start the meal with a gigantic order of the restaurant's signature onion rings. My nephew Jack is tonight's photographer.

We get home early and spend the evening playing gin until almost midnight.  It's a nice way to end the day.
