I am assigned office duty today from 10-1:30.
I speak to M before leaving. She asks, "Are you doing sales or rentals today?" "Anything," is my answer. Though unintended, her question is a provocative one, as most likely I'll be doing neither.
I get to the office on time and the door is locked. I stand around waiting for someone to show up. Fortunately, another broker comes a few minutes after ten. The office assistant apparently doesn't come until eleven, and I have no key. I will have to remember on Monday to get one.
Today I will be the one to service anyone who walks in off the street. Unfortunately, no one does. Nor does anyone call. Our office is not in a high-traffic area. And although there are street strollers on this gorgeous spring day, no one is committed enough to come in.
I sit at my desk in my 3 inch heels and look at listings. I improve my knowledge of existing inventory. And I have too much time to think.
