I’ve just come from a meeting.
I’m wearing a slimming black Wolford skirt and striped top. My hair is shiny and straight. I’m feeling good.
A man passes me on the street, comes right up to me and says,
“You look lovely. Just like Rita
Hayworth.” Over the years I’ve been told
I look like a lot of people, but never this raven-haired siren from the 40’s.
Still, it makes me feel good.
As for my admirer….well, he resembles someone more current…
