Our little mutiny
works.
Betsy, a gifted
communicator, gets a call yesterday from someone at Weight Watchers. They are replacing our leader, Roz, with a
new person at this morning's meeting.
The word goes out. Lots of emails are sent. Many of us show up.
I wonder what WW told
Adriana, our new leader?
This is a tough group.
Beware of these woman, they speak their
minds.
They are tight knit and organized.
They are smart.
They have strong ideas.
But collectively, they haven’t lost a lot of
weight. That’s why their first leader,
the one they loved, was replaced.
They didn’t connect with the second leader, Roz, and staged a mini revolt, even having meetings in a member's home.
They wanted their first leader back, but we
can’t do that.
They proposed another
leader they loved but we can’t do that either.
So we’ll give them you.
Good
luck.
But as it turns out, Adriana
does a very good job. She relates well
to the group. She understands that
maintenance is as hard —maybe harder than— a big loss. And she listens.
It’s a good meeting. We are hopeful. And maybe now we can all get back on track
(pun intended).
