snowbound

Ten inches of white fluffy snow.  Unplowed roads.  Snow has been coming down since about three this morning.  It is still coming down.

Our plan for the day is this:  stay in, read, write, watch a movie, basically do nothing.

By noon we are ready to go out.  Just to Homegoods.  I want a small pair of tongs like the kind M has, and she is looking for a woven basket to hold discarded newspapers.  Certainly nothing that can't wait for a better driving day.  We go anyway.

The streets near M's house are pretty empty.

We are one of the very few, crazy enough to be on the Mass Pike.

And just in case we have any doubts about the forecast, we are told.

I miss New England weather.
