The tiles do not come clean. The water marks from years and years of accumulation cannot be removed. So now I have a choice: live with yellow-stained tiles above my sink, or replace them with tiles that don't entirely match. I pick the lesser of two evils.
Next I decide I hate my cheap medicine cabinet where I lose half the usage space because of the annoying sliding doors. But my cabinet is recessed and the odd sized whole in the wall measures 24 by 16 inches. After an arduous online search, I can only find cabinets that measure 26 inches high or more.
So I go to Gracious Homes and Home Depot and find the most perfect mirrored medicine cabinet — two doors that open out. This one is 25 inches by 19 inches and for some miraculous reason the workers agree to enlarge the hole.
I know, I know. This is probably boring to read, but it's the most exciting thing in my relatively quiet life right now.
