It’s
Saturday night and I’m in counting pennies, literally.
Years ago I
got some advice from a friend. She said,
“Everyday when you come home, take a couple of dollars and put it away. You’ll
be surprised at how much money you can save that way.” She was right. I saved over $3,000 in a couple of
years. Play money, for something
frivolous.
Now that I am not working I
can no longer do that with spare dollars as there are none, so I do it with
change. I have this big ceramic piggybank and when it gets full, I empty it. I do this today and decide
this will be my money fund for the two weddings I have coming up in October. I doubt I’ll be able to save as much as I’ll
need, but it will certainly help.
A DVR’ed Dateline of the (deranged)
Jodi Arias keeps me occupied as I sort, count and roll change. $138.95. I’ll add a little and put it aside. $150 won’t go to far, but it’s a start.
