Lisa
(Eric’s sister) and her fiancé Mike are in town from their home in LA. Alexander and I are meeting them for
lunch. My hair — the hair that looked
sleek and trendy when I got it cut last week — now looks poufy and
unstylish. Already I am self-conscious
meeting up with Lisa, who is the most naturally cool person I know, and, one of the prettiest.
Lisa’s
chosen Friedman’s, a great little sandwich place in Chelsea Market. Without any argument, everyone agrees to pose
for some pictures.
We
catch up over fattening but delicious sandwiches. Lisa and I split two: one, a melted cheese with caramelized onions
and bacon, the other called BLAT, a BLT sandwich with avocado. It is so nice to see Lisa happy, and engaged
to such a great guy. They make the cutest
couple.
Lunch
ends too soon, and we head off in opposite directions. Too bad LA weren't closer.
