punk couture

Last night was the big gala at the Met.  The theme this year was punk, in anticipation of the Met’s new exhibit, Punk: Chaos to Couture.  Some came appropriately dressed:

Others looked ridiculous

And some would look nice in anything, even a blue tux.

I felt left out, not being invited and all.  But this morning I get an email from Madison Avenue Spy, that great little web site that tells me about the sample sales going on around town.  I am thrilled to see that a  couple of punk items are still available to buy.  This harness, (by Moda Oerpandi Zana Bayne) is a bit on the pricey side, selling for $275.

But this one is only $106.

I think I'll stick to the shoe sales.  Although some of the nicer shoes are probably as comfortable as these lovely harnesses.
